Baseball Needs to Return the All-Star Game to Being an Exhibition Game…Without ‘Meaning’

The Major League Baseball season has reached the midway point of its season with the 2013 All Star Game on tap tonight in New York at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets.  A few years ago it was determined that the winner of this game between the American League All-Stars and the National League All-Stars would gain the home field advantage in October's World Series. Who Do You Think is The Cardinals MVP as of Today?

Major League Baseball consists of a schedule of 162 games with 81 of them scheduled to be played at home.  It is a long season and usually there are a couple of milestone times during the season when people stop and take a look at where teams are.  One of those is Memorial Day and the other is the Fourth of July.  I thought I would make a third stopping point at the first day of summer.

Interview With Cardinal Broadcaster Mike Shannon [Audio]

So here it was, Sunday afternoon and I was home watching the snow pile up and listening to the Cardinal game on KHMO from spring training in Jupiter, Florida.  How weird was that?  I'm shoveling my driveway while Mike Shannon was doing the play-by-play of the Cardinals-Mets game in 90 degree temperatures.

Man Turns Boy Again!

We always hear about a boy becoming a man but we hardly ever hear about a man becoming a boy again. Such is the case for me this week as I turn into a kid again by heading to Florida. It's spring training time for Major League Baseball and I am going to be a part of it by heading to West Palm Beach, Florida

Just Who is the Greatest Living St. Louis Cardinal?

With the passing of legendary Stan Musial, a debate has arisen among some of my friends as to who is the greatest living St. Louis Cardinal? It has been interesting to read the emails I have received with the top three listed. Bob Gibson seems to be on top of the list of many.
