The construction work for the Salvation Army's new Family Store is just about complete and now the process of stocking the store with goods is underway.  With that process comes a need for volunteers to assist them in doing so. So the plea for volunteers has gone out.

The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers to help pack Christmas Baskets on Tuesday, December 16 at 8:00 a.m. Basket packing will take place this year at the old postal distribution center located just off Wismann Lane on 42nd Street. Just follow the signs. Volunteers may simply show up to help. No registration or confirmation is required.

Shottenkirk Chevrolet & Shottenkirk Kia of Quincy has announced that the Bikes for Tikes Campaign will return for its 3rd year this December. In the course of the first two years, over 350 bicycles were repaired and recycled, and then distributed to area families in need through the Salvation Army’s Toy Town campaign.
