Ridge View Winery

A wild game feed will be held at Ridge View Winery in Mt. Sterling to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association in the memory of Donald Newton on Sunday, April 7.

Save the date to get wild at the Wild Game Cook-Off this Saturday, May 3.

I will be involved this Saturday, along with Dennis Oliver, in the 3rd Annual Wild Game Cook Off at the Ridge View Winery in Mt. Sterling, Illinois.  They will be cooking things like Squirrel in a Crock Pot, Beaver Burgers, Elk Roast, Turtle Stew, Deer Sausage, and God knows what else. It got me to thinking about the Pioneer days when people actually ate those foods on a daily basis.
