The Friends of the Log Cabins are inviting folks to their 8th annual free Frontier Settlement Day on Saturday, September 10 from 11 to 4.  The festival will be in the Lincoln-era Log Cabin Village on Quinsippi Island in Quincy.

The 2016 Dogwood Festival weekend is rapidly approaching and this year's event is jam packed with activities. This year's festival will be held in Quincy April 28 through May 1. Listed below are all of the scheduled activities as part of the Dogwood Festival.

It's funny how it feels colder outside when the temperature is near 30 than when it is 8 or 9 degrees out. Such is the case for me today.  Even your house or workplace feels colder. Despite the fact that you live in a insulated house with your sealed windows to keep the cold air out your house, it was still chilly.

This Saturday the Walk for the Log Cabins 2015 will take place in an event put on by the Friends of the Log Cabins Association.

The Friends of the Log Cabins Board has scheduled a workday for this Saturday, October 25 starting around 8:30 a.m. and finishing around noon to work on the structures and ground in the Log Cabin Village.

The Quincy Park District and Coonrod Photography are teaming up to help you take pictures.

The Friends of the Log Cabins are scheduling a workday this Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Lincoln-Era Log Cabin Village, located on Quinsippi Island, Quincy, IL. The Friends are looking for individuals or groups to volunteer to help preserve these historic structures.

The 5th Annual “Free” Frontier Settlement Day is this Saturday, September 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Log Cabin Village in Quinsippi Island Park, off of Bonansinga Drive in Quincy.

The Friends of the Log Cabins are seeking help to raise the funds, needed to restore the Lincoln-era Log Cabins on Quinsippi Island. They are looking for people to participate in the first annual “Walk for the Log Cabins."
