Should the Illinois Veterans Home be the Permanent Location for 4th of July Fireworks in Quincy? [Poll]

Because of high waters on the river, this year's 4th of July fireworks display in Quincy has been moved to the Illinois Veterans Home. This is not the first time that such a move has taken place. When the announcement was made, one of our Facebook friends, Chantel, commented, " I wish they would keep it at the Veterans Home." We've heard others express the same idea in the past, so we decided to conduct a poll and see what everyone else thinks. Where would you prefer to see the 4th of July fireworks in Quincy?

10th Annual Midsummer Arts Faire is This Weekend in Quincy

The 10th Annual Midsummer Arts Faire will take place Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30, in downtown Quincy’s Washington Park. Hours are Friday 5 - 9pm, Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 11am - 4pm. This year’s Midsummer Arts Faire features 58 fine artists selected in a competitive jury process who display and sell their work. In addition to the art sale, the Faire features entertainment, a local food court, beer and wine tent, community partner events and free hands-on art activities for all ages.
