Quincy Park District

For just a few minutes lets think about warmer weather, playing outside, and sitting in a park watching movies. It will be here soon I promise, and the Quincy Park District is gearing up for another fun season by announcing their movies in the park lineup for 2019.

One of my families favorite thing to do, is drive around town looking at Christmas lights and decorations. I am sure many of you do the same, but one of the biggest light show has been missed by many the last few years. Avenue of Lights.

Apparently, the duck is doing fine as I drove out to the park to see if he was still there and sure enough he was right by the edge of the water watching people fish and walk past him.

Please tell me something. What would prompt someone to fire a pellet gun at a friendly, innocent Duck?

Heavy machinery and backhoes have been there for a couple of weeks now as the Quincy Park District is preparing to install a synthetic turf field at that site.

It looks like a perfect night tonight to attend the "Movies in The Park" event at Upper Moorman Park in Quincy.
