Quincy Not Off to a Good Start in 2013

All the hugging, kissing and well wishing on New Year's Eve for a great 2013 just hasn't made it happen in Quincy. The first three days of the new year have kept the Fire Department and Police Department hopping. In three days we have had 2 apparent murders and two very bad fires as well. This, on the heels of a late 2012 bank robbery where the suspect is still at large. What going on here?

Salvation Army Teaming Up With Quincy Firefighters Thursday For Angel Tree

The Salvation Army is once again teaming up with Quincy Firefighters Local 63 to help ensure there will be toys under the tree for local kids who otherwise wouldn’t have them. The morning of Thursday, December 13th at 7:30am, firefighters will meet at Walmart in Quincy to buy some of the toy requests left on their Angel Tree.

Firefighters are Delivering Pizza this Week

This is Fire Prevention Week and the Quincy Fire Department has some activities schedule in conjunction with the week including delivering pizzas to Quincy residents. The QFD is teaming up with 5 different local pizza establishments to provide free pizza to homes that have working smoke detectors. If you order a pizza between 5 and 8pm you will have a chance to be one of 5 families each night to have your order delivered by a Quincy fire truck.

Teddy Bear Clinic a Huge Success
