Clean up continues in and around Hannibal following severe storms that resulted in significant damage. Marion County Emergency Management Director John Hark estimated that "most" of the city, perhaps as much as 80%, was affected in some way by the storm. Following a bout of severe weather that passed through the area on Wednesday night, residents of Monroe City are now cleaning up debris scattered throughout the town. Monroe County was under a tornado warning on Wednesday, and Monroe County Sheriff's deputies report that a tornado did touch down south of Madison.
A thought occurred to me yesterday afternoon as I was snapping a picture with my iPhone. I use that phone to take more pictures than to make phone calls. By a lot. It isn't even close. In fact, there are several things I do with the phone more often than I actually talk on it. And I suspect most of us are all in the same boat.
