This year's Fishing for Freedom event is set for June 3rd though June 5th. So far nearly 200 active military and veterans have signed up for the three day fishing experience and that list will grow between now and the event in early June.
April 22 will be quite an night as the YWCA of Quincy will be holding "A Voice for All Women" event at the Oakley-Lindsay Center. That night the YWCA will honor four outstanding women for what they do to make our area a better place to live. Those four women are Donna Smith, Kellie Kurre, Chrissy Cox and Taylor Redd.

The Oakley Lindsay Center has announced the return of ‘Discover the Dinosaurs,’ a popular animatronic dinosaur exhibit that last appeared at the OLC in November 2013, to Quincy!
With the combination of it being Dogwood Festival weekend and the City of Quincy celebrating it's 175th Anniversary as a charter city, there will be plenty of music to enjoy. The music will be flowing at the Washington Theatre and on Maine Street in Quincy.
