Madonna House Gets $3000 Grant From Ameren Illinois
Madonna House has been awarded a $3,000 grant from Ameren Illinois through its Ameren Cares program to support the Prevention – Every Day Life Skills Program. The funds from Ameren Illinois will go to help at risk youth in Quincy build a foundation for independent living and self-sufficiency.

Mobile Food Pantry Set For November 22
The Adams County Mobile Food Pantry will be set up on Saturday, November 22, at       10 a.m. at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center. Twelve thousand pounds of fresh produce and food items will be given out compliments of ADM, The Madonna House, Quincy Senior & Family Resource Center, The Central Illinois Food Bank, Quincy Recycle and Hy Vee Foods.

The Shine Event will take place in Quincy on October 16 from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Quincy Art Center. This fundraising event is designed to bring awareness to the work of the staff and the board of the Madonna House, and shed light on goodness happening in our community. Several highlights are scheduled for the evening, including a video premiere, award presentation, and Pay it Forward contest.

The demand for food from people in this area continues to climb and the pantries are struggling to keep up with that demand.
