Last Friday night I was in attendance at the Community Cancer Crush event at The Ambiance in Quincy. It is a major fundraiser to assist people who are dealing with cancer and was begun after Luke Tappe lost his father, Ted Tappe to cancer.
Well the numbers are finally in and the Celebrity Pour held at both Hy-Vee Stores last Saturday raised $3,468 in tips and donations. I personally would like to thank everyone who came out to the event last Saturday.
Nobody takes on a challenge stronger than I do. I have a very competitive makeup when a challenge is put before me. With that said, the Hy-Vee Market Grille at both Quincy locations will be holding a ... night on Saturday, March 5, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Community Cancer Crush is back for another year of helping the community. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to Blessing Cancer Center patients. Luke Tappe and Sherry Hills are once again spearheading the event with raffles, live and silent auctions, and live music from Madd Hoss Jackson.
