I was watching NBC's "The Voice" the other night and got to thinking about the judges that have been on the show.  They seem to change out people who judge every year. Now it got me to thinking of some local people who should get a shot at being a replacement judge. Here are some of them.

An icon in local radio, Chuck Yates, would have been 68 years old today. It sounds strange to say that since he was always considered a “teenager” by all who knew him.  Chuck passed away on December 19, 2013. It was July 20th, 1969 and the world was riveted to their TV sets watching what was once the unthinkable, a man walking on the moon. I was 15 years old in New York and was glued to the family TV set like everyone around here was to KHQA or WGEM.

There was a story aired on KHQA Wednesday night regarding the potential to have a tax levied on the amount of miles you drive.  The state of Oregon drivers, according to an article in a recent USA Today newspaper, could get a taste of what the future may hold for the rest of us. They will pay taxes not on the amount of gasoline their cars burn, but on the number of miles they drive.
