Along with the usual array of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter services at churches around the area from Thursday night through Sunday morning, there are other traditional Easter events this weekend worthy of mention.

The Hannibal Early Bird Kiwanis Club's 28th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 4 on the campus of Hannibal-LaGrange University.

The 2015 edition of the St. Louis Cardinals Caravan took place at the Mabee Sports Complex at Hannibal-LaGrange University on Monday. Cardinals players Pete Kozma, Dean Anna, Stephen Piscotty, Nick Greenwood, and former player Al Hrabosky were in attendance, along with broadcaster Chris Hrabe.

Hannibal High School will be hosting a Financial Aid meeting tonight at the Hannibal High School Library.  That meeting will begin at 6:30 tonight and is an opportunity for parents and students to learn information concerning financial aid for college, scholarship searches and the college application and student loan process.

The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan will be in Hannibal on Monday, January 19, bringing with it current and former Cardinals players and a member of the broadcast team.

The stars of the reality television series '19 Kids and Counting,' Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, will be the keynote speakers at Hannibal-LaGrange University's annual Booster Banquet.

The Autumn Historic Folklife Festival is the marquee event in Hannibal this weekend, but that's not all that's going on in and around America's Hometown this weekend.

A much-anticipated documentary that tells the story of actor Hal Holbrook and his 60 year portrayal of Mark Twain will preview this fall in Hannibal.

If you've run in Hannibal-LaGrange University's annual Trojan Turkey Trek before, you will notice some changes in the 2014 edition.

With the forecast calling for 5 to 8 inches of snow, it is hard to think about playing baseball, but the season is either underway now (or will be shortly) for the area colleges. Obviously all of the local schools will be playing games in warmer southern locations to begin the season.
