Gus Macker is about to take over Downtown Quincy this Memorial Day Weekend, and Washington Park will soon be packed with basketball players and families. The Quincy Farmers Market will be taking place this weekend, just in a different location.
The Memorial Day holiday is rapidly approaching and with it will come the sound of basketballs bouncing off of the pavement in The District. Just how many basketballs depends on how many teams will be registered to play. With that said, the Quincy Exchange Club, which has hosted the Gus Macker event for 27 years, has announced that the registration deadline has been extended to Monday, May 14.
