The Quincy Exchange Club presented the Character Champion Awards to five outstanding students in the area who show great character and leadership qualities on and off the field or court.
Character Champions Speaker Has Quite a Story to Tell
The Quincy Exchange Club's 12th Annual Character Champions Seminar will be held this week at Quincy University. Some 200 team leading senior high athletes plus 30 coaches will be representing 10 area high schools at the presentation on Tuesday, September 9, that will feature Bruce Boguski. Wednesday's seminar will be for some 100 area junior high students and 20 coaches.
Exchange Club Honors Student Athletes With Character Champions Awards
The Quincy Exchange Club held the first of two installments of the Character Champions awards presentations last Friday at Stoney Creek Inn. The Character Champions program is designed to help coaches turn individual athletes into highly effective teams demonstrating sportsmanship and character. I had the opportunity to present the honorees a beautiful plaque from the Quincy Exchange Club.
