Y101, KHQA and Peters Heating and Air have partnered to support the new Pink Van Project, benefiting Blessing Cancer Center. The ribbon was cut on the van, which you'll be seeing driving around the area, during a Thursday morning ceremony at Peters.

We all have people we look up to. I admire Luke Tappe. Luke is a great person, and also a fighter. He is fighting for his dad. Luke's father,Ted, has cancer. Some people would wring their hands and say "woe is me." Not Luke. Luke is battling something that is out of his control, but he is doing everything he can to help his dad get better. It is a fight that he plans to win.

The Quincy Fire Department is again selling commemorative t-shirts to raise funds for the Blessing Cancer Center's Financial Assistance Program. This year the shirts are pink in color and the design features a full back logo with the breast cancer ribbon, dressed as a firefighter, opening a fire hydrant.
