The 2017 Quincy City-Wide Clean-Up will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The City of Quincy, through Allied Waste Services, will conduct the annual city wide cleanup on Saturday, September 27. The hours of operation will be slightly different than in previous years. This year the hours of operation will be from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Making sure that you child is safe in your vehicle is what this Saturday’s old child safety seat roundup is all about. The collection of old child seats will be held at Kohl’s Department Store parking lot at 6100 Broadway in Quincy this Saturday from 10 until noon. For exchange of your old car seat, you will get a $10 Kohl's gift certificate for the first 300 seats exchanged.

How many of you in Quincy have some tires in the garage that you need to get rid of? I am sure there are plenty of you. Well, Saturday is your day as Delta Tire, Blessing Hospital, Allied Waste, and Gully Transportation are teaming up to hold a Tire Recycling Drive for Quincy residents only.

A massive amount of “junk” will be collected this Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the Quincy “City Wide Clean Up” at Front and Delaware Streets, but city residents need to be aware that not all of your items will be accepted. Here is the list of items that are restricted from being deposited in accordance with local, State and Federal disposal regulations.
