The Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge will be held this Saturday at Moorman Lake in Upper Moorman Park in Quincy.  There is still time to sign up to "plunge" by going to www.plungeillinois.com. If you raise $75 or more you will also receive a nice hooded sweatshirt for helping Special Olympics Illinois.  You can plunge as an individual for get a team of plungers together.  Some plungers will dive right in.  Others will take the leap and then there are those who will just "toe dip". Whatever you decide to do, it is all for a great cause. Remember to wear shoes as well    if you are plunging (not flip flops).

The plunging begins Saturday at 12:15 in an area of the lake that the Quincy Fire Department will have cleared of ice and debris. They will also be in the water during the plunging in the event anyone needs assistance.  After the plunging concludes lunch will be served to all plungers and the awards will be given out in the heated tent in the park.

If you have never been to the Polar Plunge, come out Saturday.  It is a ton of fun to watch.
