The area's first real taste of weather has arrived. Temperatures started out mild, but have fallen below freezing, and a mix of rain and snow has become all snow. 2 - 4 inches of accumulation is predicted for the Quincy/Hannibal area.

More snow is expected to the north, and a little less is expected to our south. Another issue of concern with this storm is strong winds that will accompany the precipitation. Occasional wind gusts of 50 mph are a possibility.

Of course, with winter weather, all thoughts turn to school closings. We will strive to bring you the latest in closings and delays, not only with this storm, but all winter, on this page.
