Identity theft resulting from items stolen from the trash is the easiest type of crime to prevent.  That’s why Bank of Quincy is encouraging the community to recycle responsibly and prevent identity theft by participating in their Community Shred Day event.  The shred day event is set for this Saturday from 9am to 12noon at their North 48th Street branch location.

Bank of Quincy will provide secure document shredding and confidential disposal of sensitive information.  All documents will be securely destroyed on-site with a mobile shredding vehicle.  You can even watch your documents being shredded.

Suggested items for shredding are old financial documents, canceled checks, medical records, insurance and investment records just to name a few.  For a full list of items that can and cannot be shredded visit the Back of Quincy website at www.bankofquincy.com
