The weather in March is quite unpredictable. One thing for sure is Springtime can provide some very strong storms including tornadoes in the Midwest. With that in mind, Missouri will hold their state-wide severe weather test this afternoon.

The statewide severe weather test in Missouri is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today throughout the Show-Me State. The sirens throughout the state of Missouri will be tested and at the same time Missouri residents are asked to make sure they have a plan for the family in the event a catastrophic storm does hit your area.

Meanwhile, Illinois conducted their state-wide test on Tuesday, March 1 throughout the Land of Lincoln. Iowa will conduct their statewide test on Wednesday, March 23 at 10 a.m. throughout the Hawkeye State

Although tornadoes are more active during the springtime they can occur during any month of the year.

UPDATE: The test has been postponed until Thursday, March 17.
