Severe Weather Drills Test Set for Tuesday in Missouri and Illinois
As we move into March the probability of severe weather begins to escalate in our area and as a result, the annual Statewide Severe Weather Drill is scheduled for next Tuesday in both Illinois and Missouri. On March 4 at 1:30 pm the Missouri test will be held for people living in the Show Me state.
For people living in the Land of Lincoln, the Illinois drill will also be held on March 4 but that drill will occur at 10:00 am Tuesday morning.
As has been done in the past, a test tornado warning will be send out by the National Weather Service throughout both states.
For our immediate area we already have seen severe weather with storms that moved through Pike County, Illinois last week causing damage to several buildings. So severe weather can also occur during the winter months as well.
