(Hannibal, Mo)—A dozen years have passed since horrific acts of terrorism struck on American soil.

The American Legion Post 55 in Hannibal invites the public to remember September 11 by attending the twelfth Patriot Remembrance Day on Wednesday.

Speakers include state and local officials, first responders and the military. The ceremony will include posting of the colors, a firing squad, and the playing of taps. The service begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Legion Hall located at 3819 Highway MM in Hannibal. A light lunch will be served.
