Savana Santos, the Quincy teenager that auditioned in front of Usher, Shakira, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine during this season of 'The Voice,' dropped by the Y101 studio to visit with Dennis Oliver and Brian Myles.

Savana was one less than a hundred musicians that actually earned an audition in front of the celebrity judges. "That was the most craziest experience," she said. Savana tells Y101 that had she been chosen to continue in the competition, she probably would have most liked to be a member of Team Usher.

When we learned that Savana had earned an audition for 'The Voice,' we asked our listeners to sign a digital greeting card to offer her words of encouragement. We presented Savana with an over-sized printout of the card, featuring each signature, when she came to the studio.

Savana says she plans on continuing to play her music locally. "I'm just going to try to start playing around places wherever people want me to play."

Savana Santos will be appearing this weekend at the 5th Annual Local Area Musicians Charity Fundraiser to benefit Leaps of Love Foundation for Childhood Cancer. You can see Savana's group, Avenue Beat, Friday, March 21 from 7:30 - 8:30 at Turner Hall.

Savana will also be playing on Sunday, March 23 at the Lena Thomas Benefit at Luther Memorial (12th & Jersey, Quincy). Avenue Beat performs from 12 - 2, followed by Cheeks McGee.
