The inaugural season of River Skate, Quincy's new synthetic ice rink at Clat Adams Park, will be closing for the season with Sunday being it's last day of operation.

River Skate will be having a customer appreciation weekend as they will be giving away some fun prizes  Saturday and Sunday. They also have planned a Princess and Pirate skate on Saturday from 1 to 4 pm.

Even though the rink will be closed for the season it will be available for private rentals all summer long at remote locations including driveways. The hours of operation for the rest of this week are as follows.  They will be open from 4 to 9 pm through this Friday night and noon to 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

This first year of operation has been a huge success and owners Chris and Marion Dye will be reopening for year number two on November 1st.
