Remember, a Pet for Christmas is a Commitment as an Owner
It the Christmas season and people are out purchasing gifts for loved ones and many will get a pet for their kids this holiday. It’s a wonderful gift, but it is also a gift that will be yours for life. They need love, food, water, shelter and from time to time medical attention. When giving a pet for Christmas remember this is a long term venture . All too often pets are given for Christmas and then a few weeks later reality sets in and the owner considers the pet to be an inconvenience. I repeat, pets are wonderful gift, but do your homework.
Check with adoption centers and ask questions about what it takes to be a dog or cat owner. Nine times out of ten you will be glad you did what you did in adopting a pet. That one time out of ten situation is what we hope won’t happen.
