This winter has been ugly to say the least with snow, ice and frigid temperatures. To make matters worse, you turn your TV on and there's Pebble Beach golf coverage in California. To be fair, they have had better weather for their event than they had last week.  Still, it got the golfers into thinking about heading to the links.

With that said, I opened up my Monday Herald Whig to see a story about the Little People's Golf Championship, sponsored by Pepsi. According to the story, the registration for this year's event is now underway for the event which will be held June 17 through 19.

This tournament for boys and girls, aged 3 to 18, has seen youngsters from all over the world competing here in Quincy for the past 45 years. This year's event will be held in Quincy at Westview Golf Course as well as at the Knights of Columbus Par-3 Golf Course.
