On Thursday night at approximately 7:30 pm Hannibal Police detectives and officers executed a search warrant at a rural Hannibal residence in Ralls County in connection to the Wednesday robbery of the Ralls County State Bank.

Jacob Thomas Wilson, 30 of Hannibal was arrested for his involvement in the robbery. Hannibal officers were assisted with the search warrant by an agent with the FBI and Ralls County Sheriff deputies.

The key ingredients in obtaining the search warrant and ultimately making an arrest in this case was as a direct result of the high level of public cooperation we received and the diligent work of the HPD detectives.

The investigation into the robbery is still ongoing with a considerable amount of follow-up investigation to complete. Wilson was transported to Marion County Sheriff Department were he is being held pending the issuance of arrest warrants.

The Hannibal Police Department would like to thank the FBI, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ralls County Sheriff Department, Marion County Sheriff Department and the Missouri Department of Conservation for their assistance over the last couple of days.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
