A kickoff celebration for Quincy’s 175th anniversary will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Oakley Lindsay Center.

The event, which is open to the public, will feature Mayor Kyle Moore who will announce the events and activities throughout the year, including a Dogwood Weekend Celebration, monthly celebrations, Quincy 175 website, social media and an app called, Passport to Quincy. “This is a monumental event in Quincy’s history. Celebrating 175 years of a great city and community will be great for all of Quincy,” said Mayor Kyle A. Moore. A short program will begin at 5:30 on February 3 outlining the year’s activities and how to get involved. Again, the event is open to the public with a Cocktail hour from 4:30 to 5:30 with a cash bar available.
