Quincy Recyle to Accept Electronic Waste
If you have been sitting back waiting to find out just what to do with your outdated TV’s, monitors, printers, computers, keyboards and so forth, your wait may have just ended. According to an article in the Quincy Herald Whig (August 22nd edition), Quincy Recycle has agreed to accept electronic waste beginning on September 4th.
Most of these items were prohibited from being placed in landfills. Most items can be deposited free of charge after the 4th with the exception of TV’s and monitors. Those items will be charged $5 per item as a handling fee because they contain contaminants.
According to the Herald Whig’s article, beginning on September 4th, the items can be dropped off at Quincy Recycle at 526 South 6th street from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday and from 8am to noon on Saturdays.
