With schools opening and the summer winding down the Quincy Pubic Library has announced new hours of operation.

Quincy Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 5 for the Labor Day holiday, reopening Tuesday under winter hours. Beginning September 6, The Quincy Public Library will be open Monday through Thursday 10 am to 7 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.

“During the busy school year, more people want to visit the library in the evening or on Sunday,” said QPL Director Nancy Dolan. “Library hours are responsive to the needs of the community.”

Many items and services are available digitally 24/7, through QPL’s website, quincylibrary.org.  With a current QPL library card, community members can access eBooks, audiobooks, movies, music, magazines, study guides, and research material. Digital material is accessible from any device, any time.

For more information on library hours or digital services, call the library at 223-1309.
