A Quincy man goes to jail after a foot chase in the downtown area.

Quincy Police were called to a residence near 4th and Kentucky at 3 a.m. Saturday to investigate a disturbance. Officers interviewed a victim and developed probable cause to arrest a suspect, 51-year-old Marty Owsley, on Domestic Battery charges. Owsley had left the scene, but police located him walking near 8th and Vermont Street around 4:15 p.m. Saturday. Owsley fled on foot and ran into the Family Dollar store at 620 Broadway. Officers arrested him without incident at the store.

At the time of arrest, Owsley was found to be in possession of what was believed to be ice methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash. When officers took Owsley to the police station, he requested medical attention. He was taken to Blessing Hospital by ambulance where officers recovered several more bags of ice meth. Owsley was released from the ER and went to the Adams County Jail on Domestic Battery and Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver Charges.
