The Quincy Gems Baseball team has been sold to a local group of individuals. Gems BB3, LLC has finalized details with the Quincy Civic Center, and will take control of the Quincy Gems effective immediately. Quincians Terry Martin, Chris Martin, along with Jimmie and Julie Louthan will jointly own Gems BB3.

The sale had been under final negotiations for a few weeks, and everyone was thrilled with the end result. Terry Martin will act as President of the organization, and Chris Martin will be General Manager. Quincy business owners Jimmie and Julie Louthan will serve as Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively.

While the 2015 season is 9 months away, the management group plans to make the promotion and marketing of the Gems a year-round endeavor. Plans are underway for next year’s promotions, events, stadium changes, and even the menu and concessions.
