Quincy Firefighter’s Local 63 Is Going to Be Busy
Everybody gets busy around this time of year but one organization will really be off and running beginning this week. the Quincy Firefighter's Local 63 members will begin their activities this Thursday when they will be Angel Tree shoppers at Wal-Mart in Quincy at 7:30.
Then on Friday at the Christmas Open House will take place at the Central Fire station with Santa arriving by fire truck at 6 pm with the Salvation Army Brass Band performing as he arrives. Firefighters will be giving out free fire truck rides, handing out homemade cookies,serving soda and showing Christmas movies. Meanwhile Santa will be there to listen to all the requests of the kids for what they want for Christmas. The Quincy Firefighter's Local 63 will be making a huge donation to the Salvation Army that night as well. The open house will run from 6 pm to 8 pm Friday night at the Central Fire Station at 9th and Vermont in Quincy.
Then on Monday, December 18th, the firefighters will purchase and deliver all of the Meals on Wheels as they have in every past year.They will be delivering approximately 200 meals that day.
