Way back in 1964 my mom and dad took me to a movie called Mary Poppins. I had heard about it but trying to get to Quincy on two lane roads back then was somewhat of a challenge. No four lane highways, just two lanes going into Quincy from Pittsfield, where I am from. My friends told me about Mary Poppins. We just had to go to see it.

So my mom and dad took myself and my friend Mike Nevius to see it. I had never seen anything like that before. The theater was huge to me. Not like littel old Zoe Theater in Pittsfield. So all these years have come to right now. Mary Poppins is here in Quincy for a great run at Quincy Community Theatre. This will be one thing you will need to see. It will be amazing.

Quincy Community Theatre has also announced that in addition to their regular performances of Mary Poppins, a special presentation for the deaf and hard of hearing will be held during the July 26 matinee at 2 p.m.
