Falcone, who is flying in for QCT’s highly anticipated production of 'Wanda’s World,' will help cast members and community members Grades 6-Adult explore how the voice really works. Is it like other instruments? Why do some people seem to have "better" singing voices than others?  Can anyone learn to sing? Are there special things you need to do to take care of your voice? How do Broadway stars do eight shows a week without getting tired? Or is it all just talent?? Professional, science-based, and fun—this approach will teach all students how their voice works and what they can do to improve their vocal skills.

Joining Falcone for this special workshop is her co-writer, Eric H. Weinberger. Together, this dynamic duo will also provide their unique insight to the cast prior to the show and offer talk-back sessions for interested community members after every performance.

'Wanda’s World'  runs Jan. 31-Feb. 3. Tickets are $12, on sale now. QCT is also selling 'Wanda’s World' bracelets, featured in the show, during every performance to support The Sammy Fund— providing youth access to worthwhile activities in our community by opening doors to participation for children whose opportunities are limited.

'Wanda’s World' is under the direction of Student Theatre Director Brandon Thomsen with Vocal Director Jillian Miller, Choreographer Mindy Holthaus, and Conductor Gayle Tenhouse. Scenic and lighting design is by Technical Director Paul Denckla with costumes by resident designer Anna Grywalski.

“Demystifying the Voice” runs from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. February 2, followed by a Question and Answer session with the writers. Workshop space is limited and requires a $10 Master Class fee. Observers are welcome. Because of the class size, not everyone may have an opportunity to work personally with the writers.

For workshop registration, tickets, or more information about 'Wanda’s World,' call the QCT Box Office, located in the Oakley-Lindsay Center at 217.222.3209 or visit 1qct.org.
