My kids and I love superheroes, so I was "super" excited (see what I did there) when I saw that the Quincy Community Theatre is offering a fun and safe class this summer for all aspiring superheroes.

On July 5 and 6, Quincy Community Theatre will host a superhero class for children ages 8 to 12 who are on the autism spectrum. The class is designed to bring action-packed adventure and teach children important "superhero" skills like public speaking and eye contact. This class is designed to be fun, entertaining, and a way to make new friends.

There are other classes that will be available throughout the summer at Quincy Community Theatre like Raising Stars (grades Pre-K to K), Mo Willems (grades 1-3), and Beauty and The Beast (grades 1-3) and so much more. Each class is designed to teach children about the world of theatre and to come out of their shells a little bit.

For information on any of these classes, check out the Quincy Community Theatre website. You will need to register for all the classes that are available and there is a small fee. QCT does offer scholarships as well.
