Quincy Community Theatre is celebrating the season with two holiday productions: 'Inspecting Carol' and 'The Santaland Diaries.'

'Inspecting Carol' is showing Nov. 29-Dec. 2 and Dec. 6-9, sponsored by Kohl Cash & Carry Showroom. 'A Christmas Carol' meets 'The Government Inspector' meets 'Noises Off' in this hilarious hit from Seattle. A man who asks to audition at a small theater is mistaken for an informer for the National Endowment for the Arts. Everyone caters to the bewildered wannabe actor and he is given a role in the current production, 'A Christmas Carol.' Everything goes wrong and hilarity is piled upon hilarity. This show contains mild language.

'The Santaland Diaries' will be performed Dec. 14 & 15, sponsored by SPECS. For mature elves only. Written by the great American humorist David Sedaris and starring guest artist Harry Patrick Christian, 'The Santaland Diaries' follows one out-of-work actor who decides to become a Macy’s elf to pay the holiday bills. During this tour of duty as the Elf Crumpet, he learns what it takes to juggle tots and tottering Santas during a painfully festive time of the year. A laugh ‘til you cry evening of merrily subversive entertainment to delight adult audiences. Seats are still available for the 7:30 PM performance on Dec. 15 and the added 9:30 PM show on Dec. 14.

Tickets to 'Inspecting Carol' are $18 each and tickets to 'The Santaland Diaries' are $15.
