QU Alumnus Is Now World Heavyweight Champion of Mayor’s Office
I really hope he wears the mask and leotard while conducting his official mayoral duties.
One time QU Attendee, and two time WWF/WWE Intercontinental Champion Kane, aka Glenn Jacobs, is now the Mayor-Elect of Knox County, TN, the county where Knoxville resides. Knox County and Knoxville are technically separate entities and they operate separate process within their jurisdictions. Glenn Jacobs will be Mayor of the county, overseeing outlying areas, as well as schools, libraries, and the 10 ton steel cage that is the ELIMINATION CHAMBER!
He first toyed with the idea of exiting the squared circle and entering the political arena all the way back in 2016. After winning a primary back in May, his name was on the ballot for this year's Mayoral election, and he readily defeated his opponent, just like Kane vs Triple H at Judgement Day 2001.
Unlike after the 1998 King of the Ring vs Stone Cold Steve Austin, however, he doesn't get to walk away with the Mayoral Belt immediately, he has to wait for current mayor Tim Burchett to vacate the office. Jacobs will assume the role on September 1st.
Now it's just up to his half brother, The Undertaker, to win that county coroner race. It's gonna be close.
