QPD Warns of a Possible Phone Scam

The Quincy Police Department has received several calls from residents about a possible phone scam. According to the police, the scam is an automated call that says there is a problem with a person's debit card and it asks the person to enter the card number to reactivate the card. If you enter the number, your account maybe in jeopardy.

Apparently the phone number that shows up on caller ID devises is 253-63827.  If you think you have been scammed you should contact your financial institution immediately.
