D-2 Baseball News released the D-2 Baseball News 2016 Tino Martinez Award Semifinalists today and Quincy University standout senior, Ryan Snyder, was one of 40 NCAA Division II baseball student-athletes that made the list.

The forty exceptional student-athletes named comprise an elite list of top players at the D-II level. The annual honor is named after the former University of Tampa Spartan, Olympian and New York Yankee All-Star, Tino Martinez.

Ryan Snyder has put together a record breaking season for Q.U. in this his senior year. The right fielder is hitting .460 this season with a school record 18 home runs. The St. Louis native has drove in 72 RBI this season and scored 61 runs. Snyder has also hit 16 doubles and two triples to total 75 hits for this season. The Hawks' five hole hitter is slugging .914 with a .533 on base percentage. Snyder has also swiped seven bases in 45 games.

The winner of the 2016 Tino Martinez Award will be named Monday, June 6th, following the Division II World Series which will be held in Cary, NC. The finalists will be revealed prior to the beginning of the D-II finals.
