Here it is February, and winter is grinding on. Will we have 6 more weeks of winter or less? Unfortunately, the answer lies with a furry little rodent in Pennsylvania named Phil

Most people will be talking about the Super Bowl game coming up this Sunday, but those of us, wanting Mother Nature to be easy on us (albeit is has been a mild winter), will be riveted on Punxsutawney Phil. The sleeping rodent will poke his head out of his burrow at Gobbler’s Knob, Pennsylvania and either see his shadow or not see it.

If he sees it, we have six more weeks of winter-like weather. If not, we will have an early spring. So lets hope it is a real cloudy and gloomy day in Pennsylvania.

In case you were wondering, and I am sure you were, Punxsutawney Phil has a last name of Sowerby and has been participating in Ground Hog Day since 1886 and Bill Murray has been there for all of them.
