Pirates and Panthers Open District Tournament Play Friday Night

Missouri high school football teams enter district tournament play this week.

The undefeated and top-seeded Hannibal Pirates open district play Friday night at the Kirksville Tigers come to town. If you can't go to the game, you can hear it on News Talk 1070, khmoradio.com and on Radio Pup on your phone, with a 6:40 p.m. pregame and a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The Palmyra Panthers also are the number-one seed in their district as they entertain the Montgomery County Wildcats Friday night. That's also a 7 p.m. kickoff, and a 6:40 p.m. pregame on Y101, y101radio.com and Radio Pup.

The Missouri Tigers are on the road Saturday afternoon as they take on Vanderbilt. KHMO will carry that game with a 1 p.m. pregame and a 3 p.m. kickoff.

The Kansas City Chiefs are back home for an inter-divisional matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's an 11 a.m. pregame and a noon kickoff on KICK-FM.
