In the radio world, some people call us DJs which stands for Disc Jockey.

I never did like that name, but it is what it is. The Disc Jockey, back in the 1950s and 1960s, was the guy who played the records on the radio station. The records were made of poly vinyl chloride known as PVC. Anyway...it is made of vinyl. The Disc Jockey played music on a round object called a record. Therefore the DJ was dubbed Disc Jockey. The DJs played the music over the radio. And still do, among other devices.

The DJs back in the day made up names for themselves, just like they do today..so here are some DJ names that have been used throughout  the years...........

  • DJ Snackwells
  • DJ Harvey
  • DJ The HANG
  • DJ Text Mex
  • DJ Tater Tots
  • DJ Bubblebutt
  • DJ Home Alone2
  • DJ Dunkaroos
  • DJ Dog in a Wig
  • DJ Glitterpals
  • DJ Bacon bits
  • DJ Too ManyDJs
  • Celebrity DJ
  • DJ Mousepad
  • DJ KittenMitten

...just to name a few.

Make a few DJ names of your own and shoot them back to us. We would love to hear what you came up  with.
