Good Bye My Friend! We Are All Better For Knowing John Holm
He was dedicated, he was reliable, he was driven to work hard, he was always on time and he was my friend. John Holm passed away Monday night at the age of 84 losing his battle with cancer.

(PALMYRA)—This weekend’s Marion County Relay For Life is moving to Palmyra High School. The relay was originally scheduled at Flower City Park but higher than normal rain in the last week and the forecast of possible additional rain led to the decision to move.
Don’t Expect to See the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels This Summer
One of my favorite summer pastimes has gone away thanks to the economy. I would drive hundreds of miles every summer or fall to get a chance to see the Air Force Thunderbirds or the Navy Blue Angels in an air show. Unfortunately, the Government has decided not to fund those visits anymore and with it the chance to see America's most accomplished fighter pilots perform precision flying at tremendous speeds.

Battle of the Badges Blood Drive June 24
The Quincy Regional Training Facility is hosting the "Battle of the Badges" blood drive for the American Red Cross. The event will take place from noon until 4pm on June 24 at the Quincy Regional Training Facility's New Classroom Complex. The classroom is located at 1900 Seminary Road.
