It was September 4th, 1966 and the television world saw its first Jerry Lewis Muscular Telethon. That’s right, 49 years ago. Jerry Lewis is no longer a part of the telethon. He was asked not to return in 2011 for reasons that are still unknown today and without him, the telethon suffered. So much so, that the once 24 hour telethon was pared down to just 3 hours after Lewis was no longer a part of it and now it is no more.

Police Make Arrests in Ray Humphrey Jr. Murder Case

Some long awaited movement finally took place this weekend in the investigation of the murder of 12-year-old Rayshone D. Humphrey Jr. and it has led to the arrests of three people allegedly connected with the March 28th shooting in the 1100 block of North 5th Street in Quincy. Police arrested Steson Crider of Chandler, Arizona on suspicion of first degree murder.  Steson Crider was arrested in Mesa, Arizona and is being held on $5 million bond in the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona.

Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Avengers 2’ Leaves ‘Hot Pursuit’ in the Dust

As expected, Avengers: Age of Ultron dominated the box office for the second weekend in a row, pulling in numbers that would be the envy of most summer blockbusters’ opening three days.
