There is an old adage that says that whatever date the first measurable snowfall comes is how many measurable snowfalls we will get this winter. So if you hated seeing the snow yesterday there is a silver lining to it in that we should only have seven more snowfalls to go if that old saying is correct.  Some people might say what we got was not really measurable, but if you could track a rabbit in it then it counts.  I saw rabbit tracks in my backyard so in my book it was enough to call it snowfall number one of eight this winter.  I guess time will tell.

I will be keeping tabs on it as we go through the winter to see if it is accurate or not. I guess we can be thankful it came when it did instead of falling on December 31st.
