Canada beat the United States 1-0 today in the semifinals of the Olympic men's hockey tournament as Jamie Bean scored the only goal in the second period. Carey Price, with 31 saves made that one goal stand up

Canada advanced to the gold-medal match Sunday against Sweden, which beat Finland 2-1 in the earlier semifinal at Bolshoy Ice Dome. The U.S. will now face Finland for bronze on Saturday.

The game marked the second straight game Canada defeated the United States in hockey with the Canadian woman's team beating the U.S. women 3 to 2 in overtime yesterday for the gold medal at the Olympic games.
