A Quincyan accused of murder enters a not guilty plea.

18-year-old Gavin Masters entered the plea to first degree murder and attempted first degree murder charges stemming from the July 4 shooting death of 21-year-old Randy Bowser-Smith and the wounding of 21-year-old Skylar Osborne at 635 College.

Quincy Police detective Adam Gibson testified during Wednesday’s preliminary hearing that witnesses told him the shooting was drug related and that Bowser-Smith and Osborne were shot as they left the house. Masters’ next court appearance is scheduled for the week of September 14.
