Welcome to the first edition of 'New Music 101.' Each week we'll spotlight a hot new song on Y-101 and give you some insight into the artist. We start with one of the hottest new songs on the radio right now, 'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke.

Robin, who used to go simply by the name 'Thicke' is the son of actor Alan Thicke and actress Gloria Loring. He's written hit songs for the likes of Christina Aguilara, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Mary J. Blige.

The new hit single is also the name of Robin's new album 'Blurred Lines.' It's his 6th studio album. The single features T.I. and Pharrell as well.
