New Easter Treat…Smoked Eggs?
It’s officially happened. Every single food imaginable can now be cooked on the grill. Have you ever heard of smoked eggs?
These are not scrambled eggs with liquid smoke added to them, which is what I would have assumed upon hearing the term “smoked eggs.” Rather, these are hard boiled eggs that are cracked slightly, then actually put on the grill! I’ve grilled a lot of stuff (including the grill itself!), but would never in a million years have thought to smoke an egg.
According to Bill West at Barbecuetricks.com, the eggs taste like “a really good smoked cheese.” That doesn’t sound too bad. It’s weird, for sure, but it might not be bad.
